Our client a reputable Construction company based in Dungannon has an excellent new opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to head up their established team on a full time, permanent basis!

As a Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe work environment across various sites. Your expertise in safety Legislation and regulations, incident an accident investigations, and training will be essential in preventing accidents and promoting a culture of safety within our organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures across various sites.
  • Completing audits
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentation
  • Provide safety training and education programs for employees to promote awareness and compliance
  • Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in safety management
  • Prepare reports, paperwork and RAMS etc..
  • Organise and chair Safety HSEQ Meetings and prepare monthly safety reports.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH Certificate or similar qualification.
  • Membership of IOSH is desirable not essential
  • Minimum of 5 Years experience within a similar senior level construction role
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and safety regulations and standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
  • Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail
