Job Purpose:

Our Client have an exciting opportunity for a Monitoring Surveyor to join their team in Dublin. They are looking for a dependable Surveyor who enjoys a hands on approach and being part of a team. You will be obtaining accurate measurements of geotechnical and structural monitoring data. Our Client uses the very latest technology to enhance site efficiency and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site visits to evaluate the project area, including topography, boundaries, and existing structures.
  • Analyse maps, blueprints, and land records to understand the scope of the project.
  • Use various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners to collect accurate measurements.
  • Establish reference points and benchmarks for surveying work.
  • Determine property boundaries and land parcel divisions.
  • Research historical records and legal documents to establish property lines.
  • Mark construction reference points and layout lines for builders and contractors.
  • Ensure that structures are constructed in accordance with design plans and specifications.
  • Create detailed topographic maps showing natural and man-made features, such as contours, elevations, and utilities.
  • Monitor structural deformation and movement on construction sites, dams, or infrastructure projects.
  • Detect and report any potential stability issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use and property boundaries.
  • Assist in obtaining permits and approvals for construction projects.
  • Process and analyse survey data using computer software to generate accurate reports and drawings.
  • Prepare detailed survey reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and precision in surveying work.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurements and adjust for errors.
  • Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working in potentially hazardous environments.
  • Ensure the safety of team members and others on the construction site.
  • Communicate with clients, engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide updates and address any survey-related issues.
  • Regularly maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as civil engineers and geologists, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of surveys, field notes, and project-related documents.
  • Assess the environmental impact of construction projects and recommend mitigation measures where necessary.
  • Manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and plan surveying tasks accordingly.
  • Generate comprehensive survey reports and presentations for clients, regulators, and project stakeholders.


Qualifications Needed:

  • Experience of working on construction/building sites
  • Knowledge of surveying using Leica TPS and Digital Levels
  • Basic Knowledge of data processing
  • Experience in operating Microsoft office, including Excel and Word.
  • Good Verbal Communication Skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The desire to develop and learn new skills
  • Valid CSR/Safepass card
  • Full clean UK/IE Driving Licence
