Silverwood Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with a leading manufacturing company with ambitious growth plans on the recruitment of a Technical Sales Manager.

 

This Technical Sales Manager will be an integral part of a busy sales team and will lead and develop project strategy plans.

 

The responsibilities of the Technical Sales Manager will include but not be limited to:

  • You will be responsible for selling specialist products to target projects across key sectors, sharing your solution selling expertise to multiple stakeholders – including Consultant engineers, architects, Construction design teams and local authorities.
  • Working closely with national internal cross-functional teams, you will be an ambassador for specialist products across the island of Ireland.
  • A key market influencer, you will help to educate local authorities, lobby government bodies and provide support to water agencies on the sustainable solutions available for their future water management.
  • You will achieve profitable growth through identifying opportunities within the market and use your expertise and broad product range to develop unique solutions.
  • Using your vast technical skills to review construction plans and develop specifications to key architects, consultant engineers and main contractors – following through to commercial revenue generation against company goals and budgets.
  • Bringing your passion for new product development to our team, will allow you to increase our range, build synergies within the wider Group and increase solution selling potential to our target customer base.

Requirements

The successful Technical Sales Manager will meet the following criteria:

  • Min 5 years in a senior technical sales role – preferably within construction industry
  • Fully conversant with Office 365 packages and CRM systems
  • Must demonstrate strategic critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to demonstrate Commercial and financial acumen
  • Can conduct technical and commercial discussions with customers at all levels.
  • Ideally educated to degree/HND level in engineering / science subject or qualified by experience
  • A collaborative approach to customer relationships, being able to look for and identify win-win solutions.
  • A proven track record of sales growth, with a focus on value creation.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and literacy skill.
  • Experience in the sale of multiple products in a complex environment.
  • Visiting customer sites is key for this role, therefore flexibility to meet business travel needs is required as well as a Full Driving License.
